"Breathtaking water views with an interior that reflects the sand, sea and shell tones. My client is a seasonal resident who wants the best of both climates, and why not! When a penthouse unit became available in the same building as the original unit we had done together, we decided to take advantage of the open floor plan and extended views throughout. We combined pieces from the owner’s original traditional pieces with new simple (and quite comfortable) seating areas with transitional south pacific pieces, hardwood floors, original art and unique wall treatments. Bluegreen Arrowroot Seagrass wall covering compliments the hand-troweled shell walls in the open living spaces. With the kitchen also open to the large seating areas, we carried throughout the natural colors of a pebble backsplash (enhanced to bring out the true colors!). The hand applied and faux painted raised bamboo leaves and branches in the powder bath are a
natural segway from the sea grass hall walls. Finally the small entry is brought to life with subtle tone-on-tone hand painted swaying seagrass and a cork on gold inlay ceiling inset."
